Remembering the ‘GREAT MAHATMA’ in a special way.
“Generations to come will scarcely believe that such a one as this walked on the earth in flesh and blood.”
Indian Educational School, Kuwait joined the Indians all over the world as they celebrated the 143rd birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation.
Building character is one accomplishment that parents, teachers & mentors alike try to instill in our children and IES school assemblies are heading a great way to throw a strong impact on our kids.
On the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti ,the young citizens from Class 2 F presented the assembly on the theme ‘Sacrifice’ depicting the life of the great man who sacrificed his life for the people in India through ‘ Ahimsa and Sathyagraha’. Through a small yet exceptionally amazing skit, the kids told why the great Gandhiji chose to travel in third class in trains instead of first class.
Grades 3A and 3H presented their Class Assembly based on the philosophical and pragmatic ideals of Gandhiji. The celebrations started with the children singing the favourite bhajan of Gandhiji “Raghupati Raghav”.The young actors of Bhavans brought to life the unity of the political leaders of that time and the right attitude towards life through a skit based on one of the incidents from the life of Gandhiji. The splendid event came to an end with a graceful dance performance by the students.
The students of Class 4 laid emphasis on “Non violence” with the thought “Anger is the enemy of non-violence and pride is a monster that swallows it up.”The children showed through a skit how Gandhiji’s teaching is still relevant in our lives. The detailed sketch of Gandhiji from childhood to his assassination was brought to life through a video.
The Vice Principal Mrs Lalitha Premkumar shared her views with the children while praising the efforts made by them. She emphasized that these assemblies not only provided a platform for the students to showcase their talents but also inspired them to practise Gandhiji’s preachings and thoughts in their practical life.
