ACADEMIC AWARDS
The academic awards for the students of Indian Educational School and the eligibility criteria (2019-20) for the same are as follows;
Scholar badge is given to a student securing A1 in all the periodic assessments, half yearly examination and annual examination in all subjects (English, Second language, Mathematics, Science and Social Science)
Note: Scholar badge is applicable only to students studying in classes 5 to 7.
If a student in class 5 is eligible for scholar badge based on his/her performance in class 5, he/she will receive the badge in class 6 and during that year’s Award Function. Likewise, in grades 6 and 7.
The scholar blazer is given to a student who has been a Scholar/a Scholarship holder/ a combination of both for three consecutive years.
One student from each section is declared as the All-Rounder based on his/her overall performance in academics/sports/co-curricular activities, discipline, punctuality and behaviour.
Students who are present in the class on all the working days in an academic year are eligible.
Proficiency award for PRIMARY CLASSES will be based on the aggregate score in the core subjects and it is mandatory for the student to appear for all the assessments and tests. The student who scores the highest marks will be awarded proficiency award
Students who are studying in classes 8-11 and is a holder of Scholar Blazer in the previous class and securing A1 grade in all periodic assessments, half yearly examination and annual examination in all subjects. (English, second language, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Arabic) will be entitled to scholarship. The student should be continuing his/her studies at IES to be eligible for the cash award, and the amount will be distributed only during the next annual day function of the school.
Note: There is no scholar badge for classes 8-11. However, they will be receiving a badge titled ‘SCHOLARSHIP HOLDER FOR THE YEAR’ during the Award Function.
It is awarded to the CBSE class 12 school TOPPER scoring 95% or more from any of our schools of Bhavans Middle East. The medal will be in 20 gm GOLD.
A cash award of INR 5000/- instituted by Mrs. Meena Viswanathan in memory of her husband Mr. Viswanathan will be given to the school topper of class 12 CBSE examination. The award will be given during the annual day function of Indian Educational School, Kuwait.
