Indian Educational school

LAYING STRONG ACADEMIC FOUNDATION & BEYOND

LEADING CBSE SCHOOL IN KUWAIT

Indian Educational School, Kuwait.

A leading CBSE school in Kuwait, dedicated to academic excellence, character development, and a rich co-curricular programme.

Indian Educational School (IES) is part of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, a premier educational institution founded in 1938 by Dr K. M. Munshi, and blessed by national leaders including Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, C. Rajagopalachari and Jawaharlal Nehru. Today, the Bhavan network spans hundreds of schools across India and international Kendras in the UK, USA, Singapore, Australia, South Africa, Portugal, Bahrain, the UAE, Qatar—and Kuwait, the first Kendra in the Middle East.
IES is an English-medium, co-educational school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, and approved by the Private Education Department, Ministry of Education, Kuwait. We aim for the highest standards of scholarship while fostering values, citizenship and service.

Our Educational Ethos

We are a child-centred school where learning extends beyond the classroom. Pupils engage in purposeful academic study, creative arts, sport, leadership and service—within a calm, respectful and aspirational environment. Guided by the four pillars of education—learning to know, to do, to live together and to be—we teach children how to learn, not merely what to learn.

Campus & Facilities

Our centrally air-conditioned campus provides:
• Fully equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, and Computer Science
• Dedicated Art & Craft, Music and Dance rooms, an indoor play area and a multi-purpose hall
• A spacious, well-stocked central library with reference sections for students, and staff
• Spacious, smart classrooms with class sizes capped at 25-27 pupils.

Teaching & Care

A highly qualified, caring, and well-trained faculty anchors every child’s intellectual growth and character formation at IES. We recruit teachers with strong subject expertise and a clear love of teaching, and then invest in their continuous professional development through coaching, lesson study, peer observation, and reviews by external experts. With clear academic standards, a robust mentoring culture, and purposeful use of assessment, our teachers craft lessons that are rigorous, inclusive, and joyful.

Backed by the Bhavans Management and school leadership, our vision and mission are lived daily—across academics, co-curricular programmes, and pastoral care—so that every classroom is safe, stimulating, and values-centred.

What we expect of every IES teacher

Excellence in subject and pedagogy: Deep content knowledge, evidence-based strategies, and skilful differentiation to stretch all learners.
Relentless focus on outcomes: Clear learning intentions, success criteria, and timely feedback; data-informed planning and intervention.
Character and care: Uncompromising standards for student wellbeing, safeguarding, punctuality, and professional conduct.
Continuous growth: A minimum annual CPD commitment, participation in professional learning communities, and reflective practice.
Innovation with purpose: Thoughtful integration of technology, interdisciplinary projects, and experiential learning that connects knowledge to life.
Inclusive mindset: High expectations for every pupil; adaptive provisions for diverse needs and strengths.
Partnership with parents: Proactive, respectful communication that builds trust and aligns home and school.
Leadership by example: Modelling the Bhavans values—integrity, service, resilience, and respect—in word and deed.
In short, our teachers do more than deliver lessons—they shape habits of mind and heart, guiding pupils to achieve academic excellence and to grow as compassionate, responsible citizens.

Track Record

From a modest beginning in September 2006 with 110 students, IES has grown into a vibrant learning community. Our first batch of students in CBSE Class X (2009) and Class XII (2011) achieved 100% pass, with a strong record of distinctions thereafter. Upgraded by CBSE to Senior Secondary, our students continue to uphold a tradition of high performance and holistic achievement.

At IES, quality education is our hallmark—rigorous academics, rich co-curricular opportunities, and a values-anchored culture—preparing young people to thrive with competence, character, and compassion. Our graduates consistently excel in board examinations, national Olympiads and competitive scholarships. Equally, our sports and performing arts teams earn podium finishes at cluster, national and international levels. Guided by expert university counselling, Bhavanites secure offers from leading institutions worldwide, including the University of Oxford and King’s College London.

Learning at IES is concept-driven and evidence-informed. Strong subject mastery is paired with structured study support and regular diagnostic assessments to personalise learning. Students develop world-ready skills through projects, coding, research and presentation, design thinking, debating and Model UN—ensuring they can think critically, collaborate effectively and communicate with clarity.

Culture and creativity are central to school life. Choirs, bands, theatre, fine arts and dance are nurtured through frequent showcases, studio time and visiting masterclasses. Our sporting pathway provides professional coaching, year-round fixtures, fitness and nutrition programmes, and a consistent pipeline to CBSE Nationals, building discipline, resilience and teamwork.

We are equally committed to character formation and wellbeing. A culture rooted in respect, responsibility and service is lived out through leadership programmes, student parliament and community initiatives. Trained counsellors, robust safeguarding, class mentoring and strong parent partnerships ensure every child is known, supported and challenged to do their best. Inclusive practices—differentiated instruction, learning support for CWSN, and accessible spaces—make excellence attainable for all.
Outstanding teaching underpins everything. We recruit educators with deep subject expertise and a demonstrable love of teaching, then invest in their continuous professional development through coaching, lesson study, peer observation and expert feedback. Learning is further enriched by smart classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, creative studios, a central library and collaborative spaces. Finally, purposeful pathways—career guidance, internship links, alumni mentoring and a growing global network—help our students transition confidently to universities and workplaces around the world.

At IES, excellence is not an event but a daily habit—cultivated in classrooms, on stages and sports fields, and carried into the world by confident, compassionate graduates.
