CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

Dear Bhavans Family,

Twenty years ago, we opened the doors of Indian Educational School with a simple, bold conviction: raise the standard of schooling, and you raise the standard of life. What began as a humble answer to Kuwait’s call for an exceptional Indian school has matured into a family of high-performing institutions across the region—each fuelled by the same promise: excellence with integrity, opportunity with responsibility, and ambition anchored in values. On foreign soil, we have kept Indian roots alive—nurturing children through a strong partnership of home and school, preparing them for a global stage, and shaping leaders who carry honour in their character and tradition in their hearts.

Practices we pioneered have now become commonplace, and we rejoice in that—because true pioneers spark changes beyond themselves. Yet leadership never settles; it keeps pushing the frontier. We continue to seek braver new worlds in education, becoming synonymous with innovation and bringing global standards into our classrooms. As we mark two decades, our pledge remains undimmed: to make Bhavans a place where strong academics and strong character are not parallel tracks, but one road. We can assure you—no school will care for your children as we do. The growing demand for admission across Bhavans schools in the Middle East stands as a living testimony to that trust, that care, and that vision.
We cultivate a campus atmosphere of love, care, and respect—fertile ground where learning feels natural and children truly thrive. Curiosity is encouraged; pupils are invited to ask “why” until understanding deepens into lifelong learning. We believe in the right kind of pressure: not the weight that crushes from outside, but the gentle, steady push from within—the call to become one’s best self. Our students arrive prepared and on time, ready to learn with books in hand, effort in heart, and questions on their lips. They work hard, finish well, and keep raising the bar of their thinking by asking better questions. In classrooms and on the field, fair play is expected, gracious collaboration is celebrated, and leadership is modelled by example. Badges are worn with pride—and values with greater pride—so that conduct speaks as clearly as grades, and character stands shoulder to shoulder with achievement.
We consider parents true partners in learning. When home routines mirror school expectations children flourish. This year, our joint commitment has taken shape in a simple, powerful initiative: capping screen time at one hour per day and observing Screen-Free Mondays. Families who embraced it have reported sharper focus, steadier moods, and healthier study habits; significantly, in several classes, many of the top five performers were those who followed the plan faithfully. We do not claim it is the only reason—but we do recognise a strong link shaped by consistent choices at home. With open, factual, solution-centred communication between school and home, concerns are addressed early and well, enabling children to thrive not only in grades but in character, wellbeing, and confidence.
We invest heavily in teachers—because excellent schools are built by excellent teachers. We recruit with care, develop with purpose, and support with heart. Our teachers are well looked after so they can look after your children: fully engaged in their wellbeing, coached through ongoing professional development, and equipped with the resources and time that high-quality teaching requires. Here, “teaching” is only part of the job; teachers are held responsible for learning. They maintain deep knowledge of both subject and pupil, plan with precision, teach with clarity, assess with purpose, and give feedback that is timely and actionable. Every child’s dignity is safeguarded; corridors stay calm and classrooms compelling, where curiosity is welcomed and effort expected. A culture of excellence with care is cultivated: colleagues operate as one team—sharing practice, inviting observation, supporting one another, and owning outcomes for every learner—so that each child receives not merely lessons, but a world-class education shaped by quality teachers and quality teaching.
With an eye on each child’s all-round development—and with the process valued as highly as the product—the school curates a rich co-curricular tapestry where dance, drama, music, and the arts receive deliberate priority, with programmes designed to identify and maximise every learner’s potential. Sport is a hallmark of this culture: for years the school has led Kuwait across disciplines, and this year that dominance translated into national success. Pathways extend beyond borders, offering world-class coaching and international exposure; notably, students trained at the Padukone Academy in Bengaluru under some of India’s finest coaches. This year, the school topped most major sporting events in Kuwait and turned performance into results: 120 students qualified for nationals, and our name stood among national prize-winners—an achievement that commands respect—making co-curricular life not an add-on but a formative journey in excellence, character, and confidence.
We take pride in a record that speaks for itself: consistently outstanding CBSE results; university placements at national and international level; sporting honours at Kuwait and national stages; flourishing arts that give voice to talent; and alumni who carry the Bhavans name with distinction. Yet the deeper story is the quiet discipline that powers these outcomes—lesson by lesson, rehearsal by rehearsal, practice by practice. As we step into our third decade, we will keep investing where it matters most: exceptional teachers who shape minds and character; well-kept, future-ready campuses; strong systems that make excellence repeatable; and a culture that makes doing the right thing the easiest thing—so that achievement is not an exception, but our everyday reality.
To every student, parent, teacher, and well-wisher who has walked with us on this 20-year journey—thank you. Let us keep faith with our founding promise: to transform lives by transforming learning. Let noble thoughts continue to come to us from every side, and may Bhavans continue to be a place where excellence is habitual and goodness is expected.

Warm regards
